Supporting staff development is a major focus for the Fund. Grants for education and training are available for staff at all levels and in all roles throughout the Hospital. The application form on this page is for staff seeking funding for education, training and conference attendance and should be completed by the individual directly.
The Fund has a limited budget for staff grants and must apply funds sparingly. We are here to help as a last resort when there is no alternative way of meeting the cost.
Before making an application please ensure that you have considered alternative sources of funding, including approaching your department head for Trust funding. The application will require you to confirm that you have done this and that no funding can be provided by the Hospital or the Trust.
You will also need to submit a short letter of support from your line manager or departmental head confirming that completing the course or attending the conference will both benefit you professionally and also, where relevant, the patients who come under your care.
Decisions are made based on the information provided in the application form.
To ensure that our trustees can effectively consider grant applications for staff, please complete the form with as much detail as possible. If it is felt that more information is needed before a decision can be made, further questions may be asked.
Once the application form has beeen completed and submitted, it will be circulated to a number of our Trustees for consideration. We aim to respond as quickly as possible.
